Robinhood Chain Overtakes Ethereum in Daily App Revenue
Robinhood Chain has overtaken Ethereum in daily app revenue, ranking second behind Solana. According to data from DefiLlama cited by CoinDesk, Robinhood Chain posted $2.66 million in a single day, roughly double Ethereum's daily app revenue.
The surge is attributed to lower transaction fees and a user-friendly interface integrated with the Robinhood app. Record transaction volumes and decentralized exchange (DEX) activity have also contributed to the growth of Robinhood Chain.
Over the past 30 days, the network recorded an all-time high of 5.52 million daily transactions, while its DEX volume reached approximately $875 million. This activity is largely driven by the meme coin ecosystem, particularly on the token issuance platform Pons, which saw 22,600 tokens launched in a single day.
The implications for Ethereum and the broader DeFi landscape are significant. Ethereum's higher transaction fees and its shift toward layer-2 scaling solutions may have redirected some activity away from its mainnet.
