Robinhood Chain Records Impressive First Two Months
Robinhood Chain has reached several milestones in its first two months of operation. By September 3, the platform reported $34.6 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) volume and 576 million transactions. The total number of addresses on the platform exceeded 12.3 million.
The majority of DEX activity took place on Uniswap, which processed approximately 85.8% of the total volume over a 30-day period. Pons v2 was also significant, originating assets and fee logic before settling trading into Uniswap v4. The asset breakdown is incomplete, but it's estimated that stock tokens accounted for at least 8.7% of cumulative DEX volume.
Robinhood Chain's performance is notable, but its impact on the company's overall revenue is less clear. In Q2 2026, Robinhood reported a 32% increase in revenue to $1.308 billion, despite a 38% decline in crypto transaction revenue. Options and event contracts drove much of this growth.
The network's ability to route perpetual volume through Lighter contributed an additional $7.29 billion in trading activity. However, the methodology behind the platform's TVL (total value locked) figure is unclear, with DefiLlama reporting a different number for chain TVL and bridged TVL.
