Robinhood Chain Sees $2.7M Surge in Revenue, but Corporate Impact Remains Unclear
Roger Verma, Robinhood's CFO, recently explained how the company earns revenue from transactions. The exact rate or number of eligible transactions is unknown.
The company revealed that it earns a few basis points per transaction, with half shared with Arbitrum. DefiLlama defines the $963,612 chain figure as gas revenue remaining after Ethereum execution and blob costs, as well as the Arbitrum Expansion Program share.
On September 1, Robinhood Chain apps received between $2.66 million and $2.82 million over a rolling 24-hour window, but this barely affects corporate revenue. Trading bot GMGN led the way at about $1.11 million in application revenue, followed closely by token launchpad Pons at around $1 million.
The chain's growth metrics indicate sustained use could create a larger future earnings base. The rolling 24-hour decentralized exchange volume reached about $1.4 billion, with Uniswap leading the way. Chain-wide active real-world asset market cap rose from nearly $28 million in late July to about $163 million.
