Robinhood Chain Sees Explosive Growth in Tokenized Stock Trading
Decentralized exchange (DEX) volume on Robinhood Chain reached a record $875 million on August 30, according to Wu Blockchain Data Center. This milestone was largely driven by tokenized stocks, with seven of the most-traded assets generating $4.3 billion in DEX volume over the past 30 days. Uniswap alone processed approximately $1.5 billion in tokenized stock volume on Robinhood Chain in about six weeks.
The surge in activity is attributed to the growing popularity of tokenized equities, which provide investors with blockchain-based access to traditional securities and create new revenue streams for decentralized exchanges and asset providers. On August 31, applications on Robinhood Chain generated $2.66 million over 24 hours, surpassing Hyperliquid L1 and Ethereum.
This growth suggests that tokenized stocks may become a significant source of fees, liquidity, and transaction demand across the DeFi stack, altering blockchain economics when trading volumes scale. While it's too early to establish a durable lead, Robinhood Chain's recent performance is a sign that tokenized securities are here to stay.
