Robinhood Chain Smashes $34 Billion DEX Volume Hurdle
The Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Ethereum Layer 2 that launched on July 1, has seen its cumulative decentralized exchange volume reach approximately $34.6 billion by early September.
This is a remarkable feat for the platform, which ranked among the top five chains by DEX volume in its very first week, with daily volumes hovering around $500 million or more.
The surge in activity can be attributed to two main drivers: memecoins and tokenized equities. CASHCAT has been a standout performer among memecoins, while tokenized versions of stocks like NVDA and AAPL have generated billions in cumulative trade volume on the chain.
Uniswap has dominated this activity, accounting for between 77% and over 90% of DEX volume on peak trading days. Liquidity metrics also indicate genuine capital commitment to the platform, with total value locked hitting approximately $708 million in August - a 100% month-over-month growth.
