Robinhood Chain Smashes Records with Historic $390M Trading Volume
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution utilizing Arbitrum's Orbit infrastructure, achieved a historic $390 million in daily trading volume for tokens linked to real-world assets on September 2. This milestone was driven by memecoin-stock combinations and tokenized equity instruments.
The trading pairs combining memecoins with stocks contributed $217 million to the total, while tokenized equities added another $127 million. The total market capitalization of real-world asset tokens on Robinhood Chain has exceeded $84 million, marking significant growth from approximately $12.8 million recorded in mid-July.
The platform's public mainnet went live on July 1, and while tokenized equities were initially the flagship offering, market dynamics evolved with memecoins becoming the dominant force in decentralized exchange activity. By enabling tokenized equities to act as foundational liquidity for speculative assets, Robinhood Chain eliminated exclusive dependence on stablecoins or ETH.
The unprecedented fee generation benefits Arbitrum, with a historic $3.75 million in user-generated fees within 24 hours distributing approximately $377,000 to the Arbitrum DAO treasury.
