Robinhood Chain Surges Past $85 Million in Daily Trading Volume
The daily trading volume on Robinhood Chain has reached a new record of $85.1 million, surpassing previous highs. The majority of this volume comes from stock trading, with $66.6 million in tokenized stocks, followed by memecoin versus stock pairs at $10.4 million.
This marks a significant shift from late July, when memecoin-versus-stock pairs accounted for 73% of the volume. Now, straight stock trading makes up 78%, indicating that users are treating tokens as instruments rather than trading chips.
Two key factors have contributed to this growth: the addition of 100 new stock tokens by Robinhood Crypto and increased liquidity on Uniswap. The latter's correlated pools have reduced LP risk, leading to tighter spreads and larger orders filling without slipping.
