Robinhood Chain Surges Past Solana in Memecoin Speculation and RWA Tokenization
Rising star Robinhood Chain has surged ahead of Solana in memecoin speculation and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, according to on-chain data. The Ethereum L2 surpassed PumpSwap, Solana's core memecoin engine, with a weekly volume of $1.23 billion, outpacing its rival at $1.22 billion.
This achievement comes just a month after Robinhood Chain went live, and the platform has seen significant traction in memecoin projects, such as Cash Cat, which exploded after its debut, sparking a memecoin FOMO in the L2.
RWA adoption is also growing on Robinhood Chain, with 330K tokenized stock asset holders, outpacing Solana at 281K users. However, despite dominating the number of tokenized stockholders, the platform's overall value held is still lagging at just 1% of the $2 billion+ held in the tokenized stock market.
The memecoin craze has cooled off slightly, with DEX volume dropping by nearly half from its monthly peak of $900 million to about $500 million. Despite this, analysts remain bullish on Robinhood's stock, HOOD, expecting it to hit $122 and potentially offering a 31% upside from the current value of $92.7.
