Robinhood Chain Surpasses $1 Billion in Total Value Locked
Robinhood Chain's total value locked (TVL) has reached nearly $1 billion, making it the fastest-growing blockchain by TVL according to Standard Chartered. This milestone is largely due to the integration with Uniswap, which has effectively addressed the early-liquidity challenge facing new blockchains.
Standard Chartered's Geoffrey Kendrick noted that liquidity demand on Robinhood Chain is being met through Uniswap V2, V3, and V4. By leveraging proven decentralized finance infrastructure without building liquidity from scratch, Robinhood is expanding its chain and reducing barriers to attract users and assets.
The partnership has also led to changes in Uniswap's token economics. With protocol fees generated through Robinhood becoming the largest basis for UNI token burns, the pace of UNI burns roughly doubled after a July 27 fee switch was activated.
