Robinhood Chain Surpasses Ethereum in Transaction Fees
Roninhood's new blockchain is generating significant revenue, exceeding that of Ethereum in transaction fees over a recent 30-day period. According to data from DefiLlama, Robinhood Chain collected $34.4 million in user fees, while Ethereum earned $11.3 million.
The majority of the revenue came in during the final seven days of the period, as meme coin trading activity surged. Pons, a launchpad for creating and trading meme tokens, is the largest contributor to Robinhood Chain's revenue, collecting $96.1 million in fees over 30 days.
While this trend may not continue indefinitely, it has already generated significant revenue for the company. After accounting for costs, Robinhood Chain kept $30.1 million of the revenue, which could translate to around $90.3 million if maintained over a quarter.
