Robinhood Chain Wallet Scores $4.7M in Profit from Two Memecoin Trades
The Robinhood Chain has been experiencing a surge in meme economy activity since its launch in July. Two traders, known as CASHCAT and PONS, have made significant profits on the platform. One wallet spent $106.5K on 11.8 million tokens of CASHCAT, selling them all for $672.6K, resulting in a profit of $566K.
The second trade is still ongoing: The wallet invested $113.7K in 10.2 million PONS tokens and has already sold 1.1 million of them for $117.1K. With the remaining 9.1 million tokens worth roughly $4.2 million at current prices, the combined profit from both trades is over $4.7 million.
The two tokens were launched on Robinhood Chain and have seen significant price swings since their introduction. CASHCAT surged over 5,500% in a week, while PONS has followed a similar arc more recently. The platform's token-creation and issuance service, Pons, generated $930,000 in revenue on August 30, with most of it going towards repurchasing and burning its own supply.
