Robinhood Chain's 147M Transactions Spark Questions on Demand
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer-2 network built on Arbitrum infrastructure, has achieved a milestone of 100 million cumulative transactions just three weeks after its public mainnet launched on July 1, 2026. By the 85-day mark, this figure had climbed to 147 million.
The chain aims to fill the gap between traditional brokerage accounts and decentralized finance by allowing users to interact directly with DeFi protocols. With 100-millisecond block times, ETH serves as the gas token, eliminating the need for a native Robinhood token.
Day-one partners include prominent projects like Uniswap, Chainlink, Morpho, Alchemy, BitGo, and Pleiades. One notable product is Stock Tokens, which enable users to gain on-chain exposure to equities.
Total value locked (TVL) hit $100 million within the first seven days of the mainnet's launch. However, 90% of this TVL resided in Morpho lending pools, indicating a lack of diversification across various applications.
Investors should view the transaction count as proof of concept rather than demand. The focus should be on whether TVL will diversify beyond Morpho and if Stock Tokens attract users who wouldn't otherwise engage with DeFi.
