Robinhood Chain's Batch Posting Halted By Surging Blob Prices

Rapid-fire transactions on Base caused a surge in blob prices, which temporarily blocked Robinhood Chain from posting batches to Ethereum.

The issue lasted for 14 minutes in two gaps, with the first gap lasting 8 minutes and 36 seconds and the second gap lasting 5 minutes and 24 seconds. During this time, Ethereum blocks carried 263 unused blob slots at a price of 0.0086 gwei, against Robinhood Chain's standing bid of 0.0616 gwei.

According to Arbitrum, the problem was caused by the high demand for blob space on Ethereum, which led to a rising market that made it difficult for Robinhood Chain to post batches at its usual price.
