Robinhood Event Contract to Determine Bitcoin Price on August 14, 2026
On August 14, 2026, at 1am EDT, a significant event will take place that could impact the price of Bitcoin. The price used to determine this market is based on CF Benchmarks' corresponding Real Time Index (RTI). At the last minute before expiration, 60 RTI prices are collected and averaged to get the official and final value.
The Robinhood Derivatives, LLC event contract allows traders to predict whether the Bitcoin price will be above or below certain thresholds. If a trader's prediction is correct, they will receive $1 for every contract owned. However, traders must close their position before the event resolves to avoid additional fees.
It is essential to note that trading prohibitions apply to persons who hold material non-public information on Bitcoin and those employed by Source Agencies are not permitted to trade on the Contract. Event contracts involve significant risk, and it may not be suitable for everyone.
