Robinhood Event Contracts Outperform Crypto Revenue in Q2

Retail brokerage Robinhood reported its quarterly financials on Wednesday, revealing that event contracts generated $156 million in revenue during Q2, surpassing cryptocurrency trading revenue and driving a 44% year-over-year increase in total transaction-based revenues to $776 million.

Cryptocurrency trading revenue fell 38% compared to the same period last year, bringing in $100 million. Equities trading revenue reached $129 million, while total net revenue climbed 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion.

Overall net income for Robinhood reached $573 million, representing a 48% increase from Q2 2025.
