Robinhood Expands Crypto Offerings in UK via Bitstamp Partnership
Robinhood has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings in the UK by partnering with Bitstamp to provide over 50 digital assets through its app.
The service, which is now available to eligible customers, will allow users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies alongside stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options, and futures without leaving the Robinhood ecosystem.
The company claims that this new offering will provide a lower-cost alternative to crypto-native platforms, with zero fees for trading and no account-maintenance or custody fees. However, network fees may still apply to blockchain transfers.
Robinhood's broader cryptocurrency lineup includes popular tokens such as Shiba Inu (SHIB), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), and others. The company acquired Bitstamp in June 2025, bringing the exchange's international customer base and infrastructure into its fold.
The UK's regulatory framework is undergoing a major overhaul, with new rules for the crypto sector finalized by the Financial Conduct Authority in June. According to FCA research, 8% of UK adults owned cryptocurrency assets in 2025, down from 12% in the previous year.
