Robinhood Expands Crypto Trading to the UK

Robinhood's UK expansion continues as the company launches cryptocurrency trading for eligible customers through its main investment app. The service, provided in partnership with Bitstamp UK, allows users to trade more than 50 digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Hyperliquid.

The launch comes as part of Robinhood's broader effort to create an all-in-one investment platform for UK customers. The company's President, Jordan Sinclair, stated that 'a new wave of UK investors sees digital assets as an important part of a diversified portfolio.'

Key features of the service include zero trading fees and no account maintenance or custody fees. However, Robinhood charges a 0.1% foreign exchange fee, which can rise to 0.3% for certain weekend conversions.
