Roger Ver's Bitcoin.com exchange is to introduce a new feature called 'crypto-backed loans' allowing customers to borrow against their cryptocurrency holdings. The service, which will be available on both desktop and mobile platforms, will allow users to lend out their cryptocurrencies and earn interest on them.

The company stated that the move aims to provide users with an alternative source of capital, allowing them to 'unlock liquidity from their crypto assets' without having to sell them. The feature is expected to be launched in a few weeks' time, although no official date has been announced.
