Robinhood Explores Deal with Crypto.com for Prediction-Market Expansion

Share

Rhobinhood Markets is considering an agreement to offer Crypto.com event contracts within its app, expanding its fast-growing prediction-market business. The proposed arrangement would allow customers to trade yes-or-no contracts without leaving Robinhood's platform.

The move would further diversify Robinhood's exchange network, which already includes Kalshi, Interactive Brokers' ForecastEx, and Rothera, a joint venture with Susquehanna International Group. In January, Rothera acquired a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse, giving Robinhood greater control over product development, distribution, liquidity, and contract access.

The company's prediction-market business has seen significant growth, with more than 1 million customers trading 9 billion contracts during the product's first year. In November, Robinhood identified prediction markets as its fastest-growing product by revenue, highlighting their growing importance to its business.
