Robinhood Eyes Crypto.com Prediction Markets in Shift Toward Rivalry
Rivalry in the prediction market space is heating up as Robinhood Markets reportedly explores an arrangement with Crypto.com to bring its prediction markets business onto the trading platform.
The proposed deal would allow users to place yes-or-no bets supplied by Crypto.com directly through Robinhood's platform, expanding the company's roster of prediction markets partners, which currently includes Kalshi and Interactive Brokers' ForecastEx. The partnership would also see Crypto.com's OG platform integrate with Robinhood's hub.
The move comes as the relationship between Robinhood and its current supplier, Kalshi, shifts toward rivalry. According to analysts, since Rothera launched in the summer, Robinhood customers have made up a shrinking share of Kalshi's trading volumes, with $27 billion in volume tied to World Cup markets compared to roughly $1 billion for Super Bowl markets.
Crypto.com has been expanding its presence in the prediction market space, launching its stand-alone platform OG in February and partnering with President Trump's media business to bring prediction markets to the Truth Social platform. However, the partnership has yet to launch.
