Robinhood Gets a Boost as Morgan Stanley Sees Strong Growth Prospects
Rising shares of Robinhood Markets have analysts optimistic about its future growth prospects. In a recent upgrade, Morgan Stanley raised HOOD to Overweight from Equal-weight and set a price target of $150.
The bank cited several factors driving the upgrade, including the company's expanding product lineup, strong customer engagement, and growing asset-based revenues.
Ryan Cyprys, an analyst at Morgan Stanley, noted that HOOD's broader product capabilities are improving its economics. The company now has 13 business lines generating more than $100 million in annualized revenue.
The bank also highlighted the potential of prediction markets as a growth opportunity for Robinhood. Event contract revenue increased to $156 million in the second quarter, surpassing revenue generated from equities and cryptocurrency trading.
