Robinhood Launches Zero-Fee Crypto Trading in UK with AI Analysis
Roger Burdett financial news
Robinhood has launched a zero-fee crypto trading service in the UK, expanding its offerings beyond stocks and options. The platform allows users to trade over 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Hyperliquid (HYPE), with no commission fees. Trading is executed through Bitstamp, which Robinhood acquired in 2025.
The service consolidates existing financial products, such as stocks, options, and ISAs, within a single app. To facilitate trading, the company has also introduced 'Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto', an AI analysis tool that synthesizes news, market data, and technical indicators to explain price movements in plain language.
UK developers now have access to Robinhood Chain, a layer-2 blockchain built on the Arbitrum platform. Jordan Sinclair, head of Robinhood UK, described the launch as 'a significant step toward becoming a unified investment platform' in the country.
