Robinhood Offers Ethereum Price Speculation Contracts Ahead of 2026 Expiration
Retail trading platform Robinhood is offering its users to bet on the price of Ethereum (ETH) at a specific time in the future. The contract, which expires on September 8, 2026, at 4am EDT, allows users to speculate on whether ETH will be above certain price thresholds.
The prices are based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), and the final value is determined by averaging the last 60 RTI prices collected before expiration. Users can buy contracts with a $1 stake for every prediction, and if their guess is correct, they'll receive $1 per contract.
It's worth noting that this type of trading involves significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone. Robinhood explicitly warns users about the potential risks involved in futures, options on futures, and cleared swaps trading.
