Robinhood Overtakes Binance in Tokenized Stocks with Stunning User Growth
Riding the wave of tokenized equities and blockchain infrastructure, Robinhood is making waves in the crypto market. In just two months since its launch, the company has become the largest issuer of stock tokens by holder count, surpassing Binance bStocks with over 862,800 holders. This rapid growth reflects Robinhood's unique advantage: a large user base and direct access to blockchain-based markets.
The Uniswap volume on Robinhood Chain, its Ethereum layer-2 network, has reached $1.7 billion daily, a tenfold increase from two weeks prior. Cumulative Uniswap volume has exceeded $20 billion, while Robinhood Chain accounted for 78.5% of layer-2 blockchain revenue over the past 30 days.
Roughly $4.6 million in revenue was generated on a single day (Sept. 2), implying an annualized run rate of about $1.7 billion if sustained. This growth also reflects a broader shift towards tokenized equities, which are becoming bridges between traditional finance and blockchain markets.
Vlad Tenev remains bullish on Bitcoin, describing it as 'singular in a lot of ways' due to its history and brand. He also referred to Bitcoin as the 'original meme coin' and noted that companies consider it when building treasury strategies.
