Robinhood Posts Record Q2 Revenue Amid Crypto Revenue Decline

Share

Robinhood posted record-breaking revenue and earnings in its second quarter, despite a decline in cryptocurrency transaction revenue. The company's overall revenue rose 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion, while net income increased by 48% to $573 million.

Crypto transaction revenue fell 38% from the same period last year, dropping to $100 million. However, this decline was offset by significant growth in other areas of the platform, including event contracts, options, and equities.

Robinhood's acquisition of Canadian crypto platform WonderFi expanded its digital asset business, and the company continued to roll out new features, such as tokenized US stocks and a decentralized lending product called Robinhood Earn.
