Robinhood Prediction Market Sets Stage for Ethereum Price Showdown
The price of Ethereum on August 9, 2026, at 2am EDT has been the subject of a prediction market on Robinhood. The contract resolves at 2am EDT and the payout is usually within one hour after event resolution.
The contract uses CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI) to determine the outcome. At the last minute before expiration, 60 RTI prices are collected, and the official final value is the average of these prices.
If the price of Ethereum reaches or exceeds $1,835 at 2am EDT on August 9, 2026, those who own a contract will receive $1 for every contract they hold. If not, the contract resolves in favor of the opposing side.
