Robinhood Q2 Results Highlight Event Contracts as Key Growth Catalyst

Roger Vermaas reported on July 30, that Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) Q2 results showed revenue increasing by 32% to $1.31 billion and adjusted earnings reaching 48 cents per share, exceeding the consensus of 44 cents from LSEG.

The company's event-contract revenue totaled $156 million, surpassing equities revenue at $129 million and crypto revenue at $100 million.

The breakdown of transaction-driven revenue showed that options accounted for 44.1% of revenue, with event contracts making up 20.1%, followed by equities at 16.6%, and cryptocurrency at 12.9%.
