Robinhood Q4 Revenue Misses Expectations Amid Crypto Market Correction
Robinhood's Q4 revenue reached $1.28 billion but fell short of Wall Street estimates at $1.34 billion, causing shares to drop 7.66% in after-hours trading.
The company's crypto-based revenues decreased by 38% year-over-year to $221 million due to the prolonged correction in the crypto market that began in October.
Despite missing revenue expectations, Robinhood's net income for Q4 still reached $605 million, down 34% from the previous year, while earnings per share came in at 66 cents, slightly beating analyst estimates of 63 cents.
The company's CEO, Vlad Tenev, stated that Robinhood's vision remains unchanged as it continues to build the Financial SuperApp and expand services across multiple asset classes and trading products.
