Robinhood Routes Football Event Contracts Through Regulated Exchange
Retail brokerage firm Robinhood has announced that it will route football event contracts through OG.com, a derivatives exchange and clearinghouse regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The partnership, which includes minority equity stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com, is designed to create a more diverse marketplace for prediction markets.
According to Robinhood, its customers traded a record 13.6 billion event contracts during the second quarter, generating $156 million in transaction-based revenue.
The rollout of OG.com-backed event contracts on the Robinhood app will begin in phases to eligible U.S. customers starting on September 8, 2026.
