Robinhood Seeks Crypto.com Deal to Expand Prediction Market Footprint
Rumors are swirling that Robinhood is in talks with Crypto.com to expand its presence on the prediction market stage.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter, Robinhood would integrate Crypto.com's prediction market business into its own platform, allowing users to place yes-or-no bets offered by Crypto.com on Robinhood's trading platform.
The proposed partnership comes as Crypto.com continues to grow its prediction markets business, which debuted its stand-alone platform OG in February and has offered prediction markets contracts through its derivatives business since late 2024.
Kalshi, another major player in the prediction market space, has seen significant growth, with $27 billion in volume for World Cup-related markets, compared to around $1 billion for the Super Bowl.
