Robinhood Sees Strong Revenue Growth Ahead as Prediction Markets and Blockchain Drive Q2 Earnings

Share

Rosy predictions are surrounding Robinhood Markets' (NASDAQ:HOOD) upcoming Q2 earnings, set to be released on Wednesday after market close. Analysts expect a revenue surge of $1.21 billion, up from $989 million in the same period last year.

This marks a significant increase, with Robinhood having exceeded revenue estimates seven out of the past ten quarters. However, the company has missed expectations in two consecutive quarters.

Analysts also anticipate earnings per share of 41 cents, down slightly from 42 cents in Q2 last year.

Rising areas for growth include prediction markets, driven by major sporting events like the World Cup, as well as meme coin activity among crypto traders. Robinhood's recent launch of its Layer 2 blockchain, Robinhood Chain, is also expected to boost cryptocurrency revenue.

In addition, the company's partnership with Trump Accounts, a White House-backed child investment account initiative, may contribute to future growth but will likely have a delayed impact on Q2 results.
