Robinhood Sets Sights on BTC Price Targets for August 31
The future of Bitcoin's price is being forecasted by Robinhood's Crypto Prediction Market, with a specific target date in mind. On August 31, 2026 at 10pm EDT, the market will determine whether the BTC price will reach or surpass certain thresholds.
According to the contract, if the price reaches $78,500 or above, holders of the contract can expect a payout of 72 cents per contract owned. If the price hits $78,600 or above, the payout jumps to 49 cents per contract, and if it reaches $78,700 or above, the payout is 28 cents per contract.
The contract resolves by determining the average price of Bitcoin using CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI) at the last minute before expiration. The official and final value is calculated from 60 RTI prices collected in real-time.
It's worth noting that this market involves significant risk, and trading futures, options on futures, or cleared swaps may not be suitable for everyone. The contract terms and conditions outline restrictions and eligibility requirements, including prohibitions for persons employed by certain agencies or holding material non-public information on the underlying asset.
