Robinhood Shares Surge $9.7 Billion Amid Crypto Policy Optimism
Robinhood's market value increased by $9.7 billion on August 21, 2026, following an 11.29% rise in its shares.
This surge is roughly 97 times greater than Robinhood's most recent quarterly crypto revenue of $100 million, which marks a 38% decline from the same period last year.
The increase in value was triggered by President Donald Trump's call for lawmakers to approve the Clarity Act, which would allocate regulation of digital assets to both the SEC and CFTC.
Bo Pei, an analyst at U.S. Tiger Securities, described Trump's remarks as 'incrementally positive'.
