Robinhood Shatters Estimates with Q2 Revenue and EPS Beat
Retail brokerage platform Robinhood Markets (Nasdaq: HOOD) has reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, exceeding Wall Street estimates. The company generated $1.31 billion in revenue and earnings per share (EPS) of $0.62, outperforming FactSet consensus projections of $1.26 billion in revenue and $0.41 EPS.
This represents a significant rebound from the first quarter of 2026, when Robinhood missed expectations with $1.07 billion in revenue and an EPS of $0.38. Total net revenues grew by 32% year-over-year during Q2, while net income climbed 48% to reach $573 million.
Despite overall revenue expansion, cryptocurrency activity experienced a notable slowdown. Crypto-related revenue dropped 38% year-over-year to $100 million, with total crypto notional trading volume standing at $40 billion, including $18 billion from the Robinhood App and $22 billion generated via Bitstamp, a 35% decline year-over-year.
Conversely, event contracts recorded explosive growth during the period. The number of traded event contracts expanded more than tenfold year-over-year, hitting an all-time record of 13.6 billion. 'Whether it's the Robinhood Chain, Robinhood Ventures, or Trump Accounts, our product velocity is focused on one goal: making everyone an owner,' said Vlad Tenev, Robinhood CEO.
