Robinhood Stands Firm on Tokenized Stocks Amid AMC Backlash
Robinhood's CEO Vlad Tenev has reaffirmed his support for tokenized stocks on the company's blockchain, Robinhood Chain. This move comes amidst a legal dispute with AMC, who have been critical of the tokenization of securities without issuers' consent.
Tenev has rejected cease-and-desist demands from AMC and even offered to teach their lawyers about US securities law in a sarcastic response.
The market capitalization of tokenized real-world assets on Robinhood Chain has reached $104.4 million, with the majority of liquidity concentrated in SPY ($14.0 million) and NVDA ($13.9 million).
