Robinhood Surges Past Q2 Earnings Expectations with Record Revenue
R Robinhood's second quarter earnings exceeded expectations, with revenue reaching $1.31 billion, a 32% increase from last year.
The company's net income rose 48% to $573 million, with diluted earnings per share coming in at $0.62 for the quarter ended June 30.
The significant growth was driven by event contract revenue, which jumped more than tenfold to $156 million, surpassing crypto trading revenue for the first time.
Crypto transaction revenue fell 38% to $100 million, despite total crypto trading volume reaching $40 billion. However, Robinhood continues to expand its crypto offerings, launching the public mainnet for Robinhood Chain and introducing Stock Tokens in over 120 countries.
