Robinhood Takes Stake in OG.com for Prediction Market Expansion
Robinhood has expanded its Prediction Markets offering by partnering with OG.com to provide infrastructure and clearing services. The deal gives Robinhood an initial equity stake in OG.com, priced at $20 billion alongside Citadel Securities' investment in Crypto.com Group.
The partnership routes retail event contract volume through OG.com's CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange and clearinghouse architecture. This will allow Robinhood to handle institutional-grade liquidity, instant clearing, and a more dynamic event catalogue spanning macroeconomic indicators, global sports, elections, and cultural milestones.
Crypto.com and OG.com are separating from their core digital asset exchange infrastructure, leaving OG.com as an independent company with dedicated capital allocation focused on scaling its direct consumer experience and deepening its institutional-grade framework. Robinhood's stakes in both companies will be priced in line with the Citadel Securities investment at a $20 billion Crypto.com Group valuation.
