Robinhood Teams Up with Crypto.com for Event Contract Expansion

Share

Retail brokerage Robinhood has partnered with Crypto.com to expand its event contracts offerings. As part of this deal, Robinhood will take equity stakes in Crypto.com and its prediction-markets platform spinoff OG.com. This partnership will add another provider of event contracts to the brokerage's predictions business.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated exchange and clearinghouse infrastructure of OG.com will be used by Robinhood to route retail event-contract volume. This is expected to provide users with more options for trading event contracts, including those related to sports, politics, and other events.

OG-backed contracts will be available to eligible US customers starting September 8, according to a statement on the Bloomberg Terminal.
