Robinhood Unleashes Agentic Crypto Trading, Expands Blockchain Infrastructure
Robinhood has expanded its Agentic Trading initiative to include cryptocurrency markets. The move allows eligible users to connect artificial intelligence agents to Robinhood's trading infrastructure, enabling these AI systems to analyze market information and execute crypto strategies on a user's behalf.
The rollout of agentic trading for crypto comes after the company first introduced the technology in May 2026 for traditional investing. Eligible U.S. traders can now use dedicated agentic accounts, with no additional cost, to connect their AI agents to Robinhood's trading infrastructure.
This development represents a shift from AI as a passive research assistant towards an active participant in financial markets. The concept behind Agentic Trading is different from conventional algorithmic trading, where AI agents can interpret information, identify potential opportunities and execute actions according to parameters established by the user.
