Robinhood Wins UK Crypto Approval Despite Slumping Stock

Share

Robinhood has secured registration in the UK to offer crypto services before the new regulatory regime comes into play.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) added Robinhood's UK subsidiary to its register of cryptoasset firms on July 31, indicating that the company has met the FCA's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.

This approval is significant as it gives Robinhood a major advantage in obtaining full authorization under the new FCA rules, which will be effective by February next year.

The company's strong Q2 2026 financial results showed revenue increasing 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion and net income rising 48% to $573 million.

Despite these strong fundamentals, HOOD stock has been under pressure, falling 26% over the past month after facing rejection at $120.
