Robinhood's 'Cash Cat' Mascot Leads to Cryptocurrency NAME
Robinhood's co-founders Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt initially used 'Cash Cat' as their company name concept. The idea had a simple mascot, a cat holding cash. Years later, Tenev confirmed this publicly and it appeared in profiles and interviews.
In the same timeframe, Tenev started referring to his office dog as the 'Money Dog'. He even shared a picture of himself petting the Shiba Inu with a quote about how dogs make life whole.
The first 'Money Dog' references appeared in early Robinhood Trading Discord chats. The name eventually stuck and is now associated with a cryptocurrency called MONEYDOG.
The current market capitalization of MONEYDOG is €1.145M, a significant increase from its launch price. The all-time high price for MONEYDOG was €0.001359, while the trading volume over the last 24 hours reached €315.83K.
