Robinhood's Crypto Prediction Market Puts Bitcoin Price Target at $78,600-$79,300
Rather than looking to the stars for guidance on Bitcoin's future price, investors are turning to prediction markets. Robinhood's Crypto Prediction Market offers contracts that allow users to wager on specific outcomes. One such contract, which will resolve on August 28, 2026 at 6am EDT, asks participants to predict whether the price of BTC will be above $78,600 or $79,300.
The contract pays out 98¢ if the price is above $78,600 and 96¢ if it's above $78,700. Conversely, if the price reaches $79,300, users who own a contract will receive a payout of 1¢ per unit owned. Participants can also close their position before the event resolves to avoid any potential losses.
The contract is based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), which collects 60 prices at the last minute before expiration and uses the average as the final value. Trading prohibitions apply to certain individuals, including those employed by Source Agencies or holding material non-public information on BTC.
