Robinhood's Crypto Trading Revenue Slumps for Third Consecutive Quarter
Robinhood reported its Q2 2026 earnings on July 29, showing total net revenue of $1.31 billion - a 32% year-over-year jump. The company's diluted EPS came in at $0.62, beating Wall Street estimates.
However, crypto trading revenue took a hit, falling 38% from the prior year to $100 million. This marks the third consecutive quarter of declining crypto revenue for Robinhood, following a 38% drop in Q4 2025 and a 47% decline in Q1 2026.
Total notional crypto trading volume on the platform hit $40 billion for the quarter, with $18 billion coming from Robinhood's retail app - representing a 35% year-over-year decline. The remaining $22 billion flowed through Bitstamp, which was acquired by Robinhood in June 2025.
Prediction markets, however, generated $156 million in revenue during Q2 2026, outperforming crypto trading. This comes as retail investors have largely stepped back from digital assets due to lower prices and reduced enthusiasm.
