Russia Bans Crypto Mining in Key Regions

The Russian government has imposed a ban on cryptocurrency mining in three regions, including Moscow and parts of the Kursk region near Ukraine's border. According to a resolution passed by the Russian authorities, digital currency mining will be prohibited until December 31, 2032.

The restrictions will take effect from August 15, 2026, and will apply to Moscow, the Moscow region, and several areas of the Kursk region.
