Russia Cracks Down on Retail Crypto Trading, Limits Assets to BTC, ETH, and USDT
Russia is set to restrict retail crypto trading to only three assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and USDT.
The move, which has been in the works for some time, aims to simplify the regulatory environment for these tokens while limiting access to other cryptocurrencies.
A spokesperson for Russia's central bank confirmed that the restrictions will be implemented soon, but did not provide a specific date or details on how the new regulations will be enforced.
