Russia Prepares for 30,000 More North Korean Troops in Voronezh Region
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has made a bombshell announcement, stating that Russia is preparing to receive an additional 30,000 North Korean troops in the Voronezh region. This troop deployment would build on an earlier wave of 14,000 to 15,000 North Korean soldiers dispatched to Russia between 2024 and 2025.
Zelenskiy also revealed that North Korea plans to supply additional ballistic missile launchers, indicating a significant escalation in military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. The move comes as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to escalate.
Historically, war-related geopolitical developments have had limited impact on digital asset prices. However, expanded North Korean military involvement could trigger new rounds of sanctions targeting both Russia and North Korea, potentially capturing crypto-adjacent entities.
