Russia Proposes Trading Cap for Non-Qualified Residents at $58,000
The Bank of Russia has proposed draft regulations for public organized crypto trading in Russia. The rules would allow non-qualified residents to spend up to ₽300,000 ($58,000) on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT per broker per year.
Qualified investors, however, would have broader access to cryptocurrency markets through regulated intermediaries without a cap on their purchases.
The draft directive remains open for comments until August 24, and the central bank can still change the asset list, cap, or final timing before issuing a final directive.
