The Bank of Russia has released draft regulations for the crypto sector, aiming to establish a framework for organized trading and custody of digital assets.

The proposed framework includes the creation of digital depositories, which will be required to maintain minimum equity capital ranging from 50 million to 250 million rubles, depending on their operations.

The central bank will oversee the digital depository registry, while exchanges will set trading rules and calculate crypto market prices.
