Russian Public Remains Skeptical About Cryptocurrency Usage
A recent survey conducted by Rambler&Co among over 2,000 internet users in Russia has revealed that only 31% of respondents consider using cryptocurrencies. The survey, which took place from July 23 to 30, found that the majority of Russians see no use for digital currencies.
The main reasons cited by those who are interested in using cryptocurrencies include paying for overseas purchases (8%), long-term investments and diversifying savings (6%), and transfers and business transactions (4%).
However, awareness of cryptocurrencies remains low among the Russian public. 54% of respondents know little about how digital assets work, while 23% are hindered by an excess of fragmented and contradictory information.
