Russia's Crypto Adoption Remains Stagnant Amid Ongoing Regulation
A recent survey conducted by Rambler&Co and reported by TASS has shed light on Russia's cryptocurrency adoption, or lack thereof. Despite efforts to legalize cryptocurrencies, a significant majority of Russians do not see any practical use cases for digital assets. According to the survey, 69% of respondents believe that cryptocurrencies hold no value in real life.
Furthermore, 52% of those polled were unsure how legalization would impact them since they do not currently use crypto. Only 6% claimed to have hands-on experience with digital assets, highlighting a substantial knowledge gap among the population. This lack of understanding is underscored by the fact that 54% admitted to knowing little or nothing about how cryptocurrencies work.
The findings suggest that despite ongoing regulatory developments, public awareness and adoption of cryptocurrencies remain limited in Russia. The survey's results emphasize the need for education and outreach programs aimed at increasing crypto literacy among the Russian population.
